Gijs is the co-founder of 747 Capital and a Managing Partner of the firm. Gijs is actively involved in portfolio management, due diligence and manager selection. Gijs oversees many of the general management responsibilities within the firm.
Gijs is a member of the firm’s investment committee and serves on the advisory boards of various underlying portfolio funds. Gijs has been active in private equity since 1995.
Prior to 747 Capital, Gijs was founder and General Partner of Triad Media Ventures, a $50 million venture capital fund that made direct investments in US companies. Gijs was Director of Financial Services for Icon International, a member of Omnicom Group.
He started his career at the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, a diplomatic function, in New York in 1993. Gijs holds a M.B.A. in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a B.A. from Webster University.
Marc is the co-founder of 747 Capital and a Managing Partner of the firm. Marc is actively involved in portfolio management, due diligence and manager selection. In addition, Marc oversees European business development efforts and serves as the Firm’s Chief Compliance Officer.
Marc is a member of the firm’s investment committee and serves on the advisory boards of various underlying portfolio funds. Marc has been making US private equity fund commitments since 1994.
Prior to forming 747 Capital, Marc was Executive Vice President of Greenfield Capital Partners, in New York, the US subsidiary of a Dutch private equity group. From 1992 to 1994, Marc was a private equity analyst at the Noro Group of Companies in the Netherlands. He started his career in 1989 with HomeBanc, a Savings and Loan in Atlanta.
Marc received a M.B.A. from the Nijenrode School of Business and a B.B.A. from the European University in Antwerp.
Josh joined 747 Capital in 2003 and is a Partner of the firm.
As a member of the investment team since inception of the firm’s first fund, Josh is actively involved in the portfolio management, due diligence and manager selection process. Josh also oversees reporting and fund administration as well as US business development.
Josh is a member of the firm’s investment committee and serves on the advisory boards of various underlying portfolio funds.
Prior to his role at 747 Capital, Josh was a product marketing manager at Citadon, where he managed the development of collaborative software products for the construction and engineering industries.
Josh received a M.B.A in Finance from the Columbia Business School and a B.A. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Middlebury College.
James joined 747 Capital in 2017 and serves as an Associate at the firm.
He is responsible for sourcing and analyzing Small-Cap funds, performing analytical analysis for primary fund investments, co-investments, & secondary opportunities as well as preparing internal portfolio reports.
Prior to joining 747, James was an investment analyst at the University of Texas Investment Management Company.
James holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin..
Frank joined 747 Capital in 2019 and serves as a Vice President at the firm.
He is responsible for fund administration as well as internal and external reporting. Frank also monitors performance of all underlying portfolio funds and co-investments.
Prior to joining 747 Capital, Frank was an auditor in the financial services practice at PricewaterhouseCooper LLP.
Frank is a Certified Public Accountant and received a Masters of Science in Accountancy from Long Island University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in International Business from Marist College.
Eric serves as a Vice President at the firm.
His responsibilities include investor relations, marketing and business development.
Prior to his role at 747 Capital, Eric served as Vice President, Marketing at Titan Advisors, LLC a fund of hedge funds, and served as Director, Investor Relations with Archer Oak Capital prior to his seven years with Titan.
Eric’s background also includes 20 years of experience in marketing and sales management roles in the publishing industry. Among those management roles, Eric served as CEO of a regional magazine publisher held in the portfolio of a small cap buyout manager.
Eric received his BA in Marketing from Susquehanna University.
Georgina serves as Office Manager at the firm.
Her responsibilities include providing administrative support to the entire 747 team, database management and serving a lead role in coordinating logistics of annual meetings and other investor related events.
Prior to joining 747 Capital, Georgina served in administrative roles at Public Clothing Company, Ambit Energy and Sailormade.
Georgina received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Monroe College.
